The Company

Same Circle Theatre are a Hull-based theatre company that creates Queer work to tell the diversity of Queer stories. Community means a lot to us and we always create work that collaborates with Queer people to tell their stories and encourage existing and new audiences to engage with Queer people, stories and culture.

It is our ambition throughout our work we to use arts and culture as a tool to showcase queer people and artists on a stage and to make Hull a hub for Queer work.

We are committed to breaking down barriers to theatre by producing high-quality, fun and accessible theatre and arts events. Same Circle wants to rewrite the narrative that theatre is ‘high art’ by putting high-quality artistic works not only in theatres, but in places & spaces that are new and exciting. To encourage new audiences to engage in the arts. Our work is rooted in engagement and social action that is underpinned by Queer stories.

We are committed to engagement and developing opportunities for the communities of Hull and the North, to have access to the development of high-quality work. We not only have our core artistic program, but we deliver these aims through our variety of events, workshops & consultation with other organisations.
